it is the revolution caused in france between 1789-1799. it abolished monarchy and established democratic form of government. in french society there are divided into three estates first two estates are in favour of the king and contains only royals. the third estate contains the middle class people, labourers, philosophers, writers etc. whenever the king wanted to impose taxes on third estate he conducts voting. for every estate 1 vote is given. but the third estate people are more in number than 1st &2nd estate people. when the voting was held these 1st &2nd estate people votes in favor of king and heavy taxes are imposed on third estate people. so these third estate people demanded the king to give vote for every person. at last they succeeded in this revolution.

The French Revolution refers to the period that began with the Estates General of 1789 and ended in November 1799 with the formation of the French Consulate. Many of its ideas are considered fundamental principles of Western liberal democracy.
