What is Friction and Frictional Force ?
Answers
Hi,
First we need to understand what is friction. Friction simply means, when two body surfaces rub against each other, friction takes place. OR the resistance encountered by the two rubbing surfaces is called friction.
Friction causes rise in temperature, and also produces sound and light in some cases. It all depends on the material and composition of the rubbing surfaces.
Examples of friction-
1. In cold, people rub their hand to produce heat.
2. While lighting a match stick, it is rubbed on the rough surface of match box to produce heat and light and eventually lighting it .

What is Friction ??✔✔
When we push a book on the horizontal surface, the force of push keeps the book moving. As the book slides along the surface,a force of friction acts in the opposite direction. This force slows down the motion of the book amd it finally comes to rest.
What is frictional force ??✔✔
The force acting along the two surfaces in contact which opposes the motion of one body over the other is known as frictional force.
Types of friction ⬇️⬇️
➡️Static friction
➡️Sliding friction
➡️Rolling friction
➡️Fluid friction
Effects of friction
✔Friction opposes motion.
✔Friction produces heat
✔Friction causes wear and tear.
Thanks!!!
