Friction is general know for anti of motion.. it's a type of force which against the motion..
there are few advantage and disadvantage of its presence...
Due to friction we can carry any thing without there motion. e. g. took a pen on ur copy and move your move you will see that pen will also in motion as well as in rest...
disadvantage is that if we speed the motion of copy pen will fall... due to same friction...

friction is opposing force b/w two surfaces .disadv.... is due to friction our shoes shole get scrubed. without friction we cannot write throw pen..and advan...is without friction we cnnt move..
