FRICTION : the force that acts opposite to the direction on motion is called friction.

types of friction -

Static friction : the force that acts on an object when they are at rest is called static friction.

Sliding friction : the force that acts on a sliding object is called sliding friction.

Rolling friction : the force that acts on the objects rolling on the surface is called rolling friction

● $\bold{Rolling\:friction}$ :- When one body rolls over the surface of another body , the resistance to its motion is called rolling friction.

● $\bold{Sliding\:friction}$ :- The friction between two bodies that are in sliding contact is known as sliding friction and it is also known as kinetic friction. For example :- Use of ball bearings between hubs.

● $\bold{Static\:friction}$ :- It is a force in which it keeps on object at rest.
