when two bodies are in contact the force that is developed at the contach due to roughness between the bodies is called as frictional force.frictional force opposes the relative motion of two surfaces of bodies which are in contact.example if we throw a foot ball on the ground,sometime it moves and then it stops.because there is frictional force acting on the foot ball.
Kinetic friction is the friction which comes into play when the surface of one object moves relative to the surface of another object.
