what is frictional distillation? explain by the flow chart separation of air by using activity?

Jump to: navigation, search. Fractional distillation is the separation of a mixture into its component parts, or fractions. Chemical compounds are separated by heating them to a temperature at which one or more fractions of the compound will vaporize. It uses distillation to fractionate.

satyam126: Because they have different boiling points, the substances in crude oil can be separated using fractional distillation. The crude oil is evaporated and its vapours allowed to condense at different temperatures in the fractionating column.
