FRICTIONAL FORCE
- It is normally called as friction.
- Friction always oppose the relative motion or tendency of relative motion between two contact surfaces.
- Friction force is the component of net contact force tangential or parallel to surface .
- Direction of friction is always tangential to surface.
THERE ARE THREE TYPES OF FRICTION
- Static friction (fs)
- It is act when there is no relative motion between contact surface or body is at rest.
- Magnitude and direction of static friction is self adjusting.
2.Limiting friction (fl)
- Body is just begin to slide (J.B.T.S).
- Minimum force required to slide the body.
- Maximum value of static friction.
3.Kinetic / Sliding friction (fk)
- There is relative motion between contact surface of body is in motion.
