Hey mate!

Answer:

Friction is the force which offers resistance to the motion. Friction opposes the motion (in most of the cases). Friction mostly acts in the opposite direction of motion.

Frictional force is created due to irregularities on the surface of body. Friction can be advantageous and also disadvantageous.

How does it work:

Simple! there are many examples. We were affected by friction in every action.

For example...

  1. when you write, the irregularities on fingers produce friction which help you to hold the pen.
  2. when you push a chair, the irregularities on the floor opposes the movement of the chair. When you overcome the friction, the chair starts to move.

hope this will help you friends!
