There are three types of fuels-

Solid Fuel - Coal
Liquid Fuel - Petrol
Gaseous Fuel- Natural Gas

fuel :- whether one is travelling to space or on road, the vehicle required fuel to work . a fuel is any material like coal ,gas or oil that is burnt to produce heat or energy. the burning of fuel is called combustion .some vehicles like car , train aeroplane and spacecraft use energy that is generated by burnning different fuels .

there are two type of fuel
1) fossil fuel
2) alternative fuel


1) fossil fuel :- million year ago ,when a large number of plants and animals died, their remain got buried under the ground or at bottom of the oceans .as these remain settled deeper into the earth, they got exposed to higher temperature and Decomposed, leading to the forming of fossil fuel .petroleum ,coal and natural gas are all fossil fuels .fossil fuel also called non renewable fuel . it cannot be renewed again and again . fossil fuel also called non renewable fuel .these fuel cause pollution.

2) alternative fuel :- alternative fuels are those that can be renewed .they are also called renewable fuel. such fuel cause very little or no pollution at all .solar energy wind energy biodiesel and electricity alternative fuel .
in ancient times man power or animals Were used to pull vehicle like bullock cart ,bicycle, tonga and cycle rickshaw .the air was clean then, but with urbanization and advances in technology, give various other vehicles that pollute the air with the burning of fuels .
electric energy and solar energy can be used for lighting, heating and cooking purpose .they can also be used to charge batteries to run cars and trains. biodiesel is obtained from plants and animal matter it is a clean fuel .
