Substances that are burned to produce heat are called fuels. These fuels are used for various purposes at home, in industries, and for running automobiles. Coal, petrol, diesel, wood, charcoal, etc are some example of commonly used fuels.

Substances that can be burnt to produce energy in forms of heat etc..are called fuels. Most common examples are coal,petrol ,gas,wood etc.. These fuels are natural resources that are used up at a faster rate and are needed to be conserved for the future generations !! Hope this helps !!
