Hey mate!
The full form of DNA is Deoxyribonucleic acid.
DNA-It is a complex molecule that guides the growth development, reproduction and function of everything alive.
Information is encoded in a structure of molecule.
Four nucleotides are paired and make up a code that carries instructions.
We have billions of these pairs.DNA folds itself into paired packages called chromosomes.Which are stored in a nucleus of the cell.
Each species of different no. of chromosomes.
Humans have 46 chromosomes which contain our genes.
Genes acts as instructors for molecules called protein.
In human gene varies in size from few hundred DNA bases to billion DNA BASES.
EACH PERSON HAS 2 copies of genes, one inherited from each parent.
And most genes are same in all people except for small number of gene being slightly different. These differences leads to each person unique characteristics.
You might have heard somewhere that
"DNA ACTS AS A BLUEPRINT OR RECIPE OF LIVING"
I HOPE U UNDERSTAND.
