Here is yours answer mate.....

A scale is defined as the ratio of the linear dimensions of the object as represented in a drawing to the actual dimensions of the same. Drawings drawn with the same size as the objects are called full sized drawing. It is not convenient, always, to draw drawings of the object to its actual size.

The scale of drawings is described as a ratio using the notation : a distance at full scale , the distance at the scale used that would be the same length . A full size drawing would be 1:1 .A half size drawing would be 1:2
