Water conducting cells also known as trecheary elements.

It also provides the structural support to the plants.

 \green {\text{The function of phloem :}}

Phloem is a vascular tissue.

Phloem carries the food and minarls by the leaves to different part of the plant.

  • Leaves are the kitchen of the plant.
  • The food in plants is formed in leaves.

Answer:

Xylem and Phloem tissues are the major tissues that help in the transport of materials.

Xylem transports water and minerals from the roots to the shoot region in upwards direction.

Phloem transfers food synthesized in the leaves (in form of Sucrose) to other parts of the plant that requires it.

Meristematic cells are undifferentiated cells which are present mainly in the regions where growth can take place such as the shoot and the root apex. It helps in plant growth.
