FUNDAMENTAL PHYSICAL QUANTITIES

The physical quantities which do not require any other physical quantity to get expressed are called fundamental physical quantity this quality is also called independent quantity or base quantity ..

Their are 7 types of fundamental physical quantity :-

  1. Length
  2. Mass
  3. Time
  4. Electric Current
  5. Amount of Matter
  6. Temperature
  7. Luminous Intensity

A Fundamental Quantity (FQ) in physics is a quantity that can be measured but cannot be defined. There are seven such FQ in the sphere of physics. The five most commonly used in intro courses are: Space, Time, Matter (energy and mass), Charge (moving charge; current), and temperature.
