Fundamental quantities are those physical quantities that cannot be expressed in terms other quantities. It is independent on its own.

In physics, there are seven fundamental physical qualities that are measured in base or physical fundamental units : length, mass, time, electric current temperature, amount of substance and luminous intensity. All other units are made by mathematically combining the fundamental units .
