ANSWER :-

A galaxy is a huge collection of gas, dust, and billions of stars , interstellar gas , dark matter all held together by gravity.

There are three types of galaxies:-

  • Spiral Galaxies :- They have a bulge in centre of old stars surrounded by disk of young stars arranged in spiral forms.
  • Elliptical Galaxies :- These are flattened balls of old stars and contain little gas.
  • Irregular Galaxies :- They don't have any particular shape.
