The process of coating Zinc layer on substances made copper or steel or other metals, which gets corrosion when exposed moist air for long time is called galvanization.  Using galvanization process prevention of corrosion is possible on the metal surface.

Ex: Iron Bridge can be protected from rusting by galvanizing the iron using zinc protects.
