Graphite is used to make the lead of pencil.
Rust is a reddish-brown flaky substance which gets deposited on iron when the iron comes in contact with water and oxygen.

Galvanizing is one of the most widely used to methods for protecting metal from corrosion.it involve applying a thin coating of zinc to a thicker base metal, helping to shield it from the surrounding environment. A large number of them will have a mute, silver colour on them. that silver is actually the coating of zinc.

Only gold ,silver, copper and the platinum metal occur in nature in larger amount over geological time scales very few metalcan resist natural weathering process like oxidation ,which is why generally only reactive metal as gold and platinum are found as metals.

Corrosion is a natural process ,which convert a refined metal to a more chemical -stable from ,such as its oxide hydroxide, or sulfide it the gradual destruction of material.

Rust is an iron oxide ,usually red oxide by the redox reaction of iron and oxygen in the presence of water of air moisture. rust consists of hydrogen iron (lll)oxide Fe²o.

A copper vessel gets covered with green coating in raining season because the metal react with atmosphere co2 in the presence.
