Abdul gafar khan and gandhiji were arrested ..there were angry demonstrations in Peshawar and Sholapur. about one lakh people were arrested. so Gandhi called of the movement on 5th march 1931 by entering into Gandhi Irwin pact
accepted to participate in the second round table conference.
