gap junctions are found in epithelium tissue. plasma membrane of adjacent cell have a protoplasmic connection through a proteinous cylinder called Connexon. this protoplasmic connection of two adjacent cells is called gap Junction

Gap junctions:- These helps to facilitate the communication process between the adjoining cells for easier transportation of ions, chemicals, nutrients etc.
