Q. What is geitonogamy? Give its one similarity to

(i)Autogamy (ii) Xenogamy.

Answer =>

--> Geitonogamy -:It refers to the transfer of pollen grains from the anthers of a flower to the stigma of another flower of the same plant.

Similarity to autogamy : Geitonogamy is genetically similar to autogamy in the respect that pollen grains are transferred to stigma of the flower, but on the same plant so both are genetically similar whereas autogamy occurs in bisexual flowers.

Similarity to xenogamy : Geitonogamy is similar to xenogamy in the respect that pollen grains are transferred to stigma of different flowers.
