It is the affective growth of roots of plants downward towards \:gravity.

when plants are kept in soil then after a period of few weeks we see that the roots bend and grow towards underground to the soil....this is an example of positive geotropism....

take an example of AVAISENIA , this plant is having roots growing away from the soil.....due to Xerophytic nature to absorb more moisture....
