There are two types of glacier ....

(1) continental glacier :

Huge mases of ice Which covers large area of a continent are called continental glacier.

For example- Antarctica , Green land etc

(2) mountain glacier :

Other glacier which occupy small areas over the mountains are called mountain glacier. For example- siachin glacier and gangotri glacier of Himalaya in India
