Increase in greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide that are responsible for trapping the heat of the sun and keep the earth warm, is leading to melting of the glaciers at the poles. This can eventually lead to flooding and cause vast devastation as the temperature of earth is rising, glaciers at the poles are melting and they can drown the life and property on Earth. This is also leading to the increase in temperature of the Earth and affects the climate resulting in climate change. This increase in greenhouse gases is known as global warming.
