Global warming is an international crisis caused due to excessive CO2 emmisions along with other greenhouse gases. This in turn causes the greenhouse effect, which does not technically 'warm the earth' but rather trap the sun's heat and creates increased average temperature. Although many governments try to combat it, we are too dependent on machines that release CO2 in the process. As a result, plant species die, hurricanes and storms are more prevalent, ocean acidity increases, fish die, coral is bleached, flooding of coastal cities occur and polar ice melts. The main source of CO2 emmisions are fossil fuels, decomposed ancient plant and animal matter. Examples are coal, oil, and gas.
