What is GM crop? what are the advantages? give any two example o such crop grown in india?

GM crops are genetically modified crops.  The advantages of GM crops are:
1. these crops are resistance to pest
2. these are resistant to many diseases 
3.  these crop can survive in extreme climatic condition
4. the yield increases

GM crops refer to Genetically Modified crops. These are plants of which their DNA have been altered. The advantages of genetically modified plants are:

-Have less impact on the environment as they do not require a lot of chemicals to grow.
-They are more resistant to disease.
-Are cheaper.
- They are more sustainable
- They are more nutritional and can stay longer.

Examples of GM crops in India:
Genetically modified cotton, GM Wheat and GM rice.
