Gross national product (GNP) is an estimate of total value of all the final products and services produced within a nation in a particular year, plus income earned by its citizens (including income of those located abroad), minus income of non-residents located in that country.
GNP doesn't count any income earned in the United States by foreign residents or businesses. It also excludes products manufactured in the United States by overseas firms.
