Golgi bodies also known as Goldie apparatus were first discovered by Camillo Goldie.It consists of a system of membrane bound vesicles (flattened sacs) found in eukaryotic cells .It is located in the cytoplasm next to the endoplasmic reticulam and near the cell nucleus.

Its function include

• the storage, modification and packaging of products
• Produce vacoules
• Involved in the synthesis of cell wall,plasma membrane and lysosome.
