Golden quadrilateral is the express highway that connects the megacities of india i.e. Bombay, delhi, kolkata, and chennai.
It helps in reducing the time and distance between the cities.
Also they are six lane highways that reduce congust and traffic on the highway

It is the major road development project which connect mega cities and metro cities of the country( India ) that is Delhi,Kolkata,Mumbai,Chennai.It is control and manages by National Highway Authority of India . It also connect North-South corridors which is Sri-Nagar and Kanyakumari and East - West corridors which is Silchar and Porbandar.
