The Fibonacci sequence is a never-ending series of integers (0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89…) in which each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers. As the numbers grow larger, the ratio of two adjacent numbers is a close approximation of the golden ratio: for instance 89 / 55 = 1.61818 repeating.
