Goodwill is an intangible asset which places an enterprise at an advantageous position due to which the enterprise is able to earn higher profits without putting extra efforts. It is intangible in nature. It is amortized over its useful life.

It's an intangible asset.

Company earns more profits due to goodwill in the market.

Buyer will buy that product which has good reputation not bad reputation.
