The Bhoodan Movement Land Gift Movement was a voluntary land reform movement in India, started by Acharya Vinoba Bhave in 1951 at Pochampally village in Telangana which is now known as Bhoodan Pochampally
It is also called Land Gift Movement.

It was started by vinoba bhave on April 18 1951 , it was basically a land reform movement . According to the movement an ideal gramdan land would have no landowners and no absentee land lords . The movement was unofficial . It had two main components collect land as gift from zamindars and rich land owners and redistribute that donated or gifted land to landless farmers
