The green line shows the slope of the velocity-time graph at the particular point where the two lines touch. Its slope is the acceleration at that point. In mechanics, the derivative of the position vs. time graph of an object is equal to the velocity of the object.

the graphs which determine the nature of motion, velocity of the object, distance travelled by the object and time taken by the object to cover that distance are graphs of motion. It may be velocity v|s time, distance v|s time. These graphs inform us whether the motion is uniform or non-uniform.
