GRAVITATIONAL FORCE
Gravitational force is the force with which any two masses or objects pull each other. We can only feel it when an object trying to pull has a significant mass. For example, we can feel the gravitational force of the earth because it is very big whereas we cannot feel the pull exerted by the chair because its mass is insufficient to apply enough gravitational force. Thus, for Gravitational force to be obvious between two objects, the mass of at least one of the object must be large enough.
The gravitational force has a lot of significance in your life:
- It keep us bound to the earth.
- The weight of an object on the earth is the gravitational force of the earth acting on the object.
- The Earth revolves around the sun and the moon revolves around the earth because of the gravitational force.
