It is the force of an object to attract the other object towards it because of the mass.
The more the mass, the higher the force of gravity.
Matter attract each other because of its mass
For example:
When a body falls from a height, it fells towards earth (i.e. downwards), the body also attracts the earth by an equal amount of force but because of its huge mass no movement is caused in Earth.
