the force exerted by earth is called gravitational force. it pulls think towards Earth. if you throw a ball in the air it goes up slowed down stop going up then come down.

do you know why? it is because of the gravitational force. Earth pulls the ball towards itself. that is why leaves from a tree falls on the ground and does not go up.

due to gravitational force we all are able to stand or walk otherwise we all would flow like hydrogen filled balloon.
