Though fame is something even the richest of the people strive for, but not everyone necessarily gets it.

So at this point of time, fame looks pretty difficult to achieve and hence more important.

But the real picture is, that fame is nothing if you don't have money or are unable to churn money out of your fame. With fame comes a lot of responsibility towards yourself and society which cannot be fulfilled without handfull of money.

In the synthetic world that we live in, there is very less value of fame/talent unless it's extreme which eventually turns into money and people tend to judge your success that way only.

So money is the clear winner and is more important, but money with fame adds icing on the cake and enhances your richness and eventually help grow your money multifold.
