To know which is greater, first make their denominators equal.
1. 1/2 or 3/5
   LCM of 2 and 5 = 2X5 = 10
   $\frac{1}{2}$ = (1×5)/(2×5) = $\frac{5}{10}$
   $\frac{3}{5}$ = (3×2)/(5×2) = $\frac{6}{10}$
  Now as the denominator are equal, the fraction whose numerator is greater is   the greater number. So 3/5>1/2

2.Similarly LCM of 7 and 2 =14
   5/7 = 10/14 and 1/2 = 7/14, So 5/7 is greater as 10>7.
3.LCM of 9 and 10 = 90
   8/10 = 72/90 and 7/9 = 70/90, so 8/10 > 7/9
4.LCM of 6 and 7 = 42
   5/6 = 35/42, 6/7 = 36/42. So 6/7 > 5/6
