Green energy is energy that is produced in a way that does not harm the environment. Some examples of this are dams, solar panels, and wind turbines. They are green because unlike most conventional sources of power which use combustion reactions to produce energy and in doing so create green house gases and pollutants, green energy producers do not create harmful pollutants and greenhouse gases.
