Howdy!

The greenhouse effect is naturally occurring phenomenon that is responsible for the heating of earth's surface and atmosphere due to the presence of certain gases in the atmosphere.

In the absence of greenhouse effect, the average temperature of the earth would have been a chilly- 18° C rather than the present average of 15°C.

The increase in the percentage of greenhouse gases leads to global warming.

Hope it helps!
