Explanation:

The greenhouse effect is the process by which radiation from a planet's atmosphere warms the planet's surface to a temperature above what it would be without this atmosphere. Radiatively active gases in a planet's atmosphere radiate energy in all directions.

The greenhouse gases in Earth's atmosphere are Carbon dioxide, Methane, Nitrous Oxides, ozone etc. When Earth receives the heat energy from the Sun some part of it gets reflected back, however a part of it is absorbed by the greenhouse gases. This absorption of heat tends to warm the Earth's surface.

This process is quite important for the survival of human beings and the vegetation on Earth, but where the concern lies is that the large no. of factories, automobiles and chimneys produce high amounts of greenhouse gases. This makes Earth absorb more and more heat.

This all leads to the GLOBAL WARMING, because the greenhouse effect would not only rise temperature of part of Earth, however, an increase in the global temperature is witnessed.

We often use to say how will a rise of one or two degrees affect Earth, but this little figure does a much to create problems in Climate, Moonsoon formation and more likely the Seasonal shift.

A research done about a decade ago showed that the winters in future will be more chiller with extreme low temperatures and high snowfalls. According to the research, Europe and America was more likely to be affected.

The past few years have witnessed the same, as there are high snowfalls and long winters.
