Answer:

Green revolution helped the farmers to increase their per capita income. It made India sufficient in food crops

Disadvantages :

It was only limted to the few states of northern India.

Hyv seeds need fertilizer and pesticide to give result which rich farmer could afford.

Hyv seeds also need a lot of water to give best result which lowered the water level also.

  • The aim was to make India self - sufficient in the food grains, and to increase the yield of food production in India. The Revolution helped in many ways -

  • It increased the yield of the food production, and the yield was better than before, the HYV seeds produced better grains than the traditional seeds that were used before.
