Green Revolution is the huge production of crops and higher yields produced due to the advancement in agriculture like development of new varieties of plants and animals, use of fertilisers and pesticides etc.

Green revolution begins in 1960. M S Swaminathan was the pioneer of this.

As, it leads to higher yields and maximum crop production. Therefore the problem of food crisis in India was solved.
