Green revolution in India means a revolution in field of agriculture .It is a revolution bought by Indian government for increasing the production of food grains. It was bought to meet demand of ever increasing population of india as food grains were bought from USA under harsh conditions. In green revolution it was focused to increase productivity of land by using fertilizers ,HYV seeds,pesticides , modern machines and equipments by subsiding and helping farmers with cheap loans .

Beneficial regions - Punjab,Haryana, Northern Rajasthan, Western Uttar Pradesh, some regions of South India lately.
