green revolution is a time which makes India for self sufficient in food items or we can say grain
but there are many disadvantages of the green revolution that's
it makes the soil infertile
loss the fertility
large amount of use of fertilizer and pesticides
this also make soil either too acidic or too alkaline

advantage are
make India self sufficient
increases production
brought new technology

Green Revolution is a revolution in agriculture field.

Green Revolution is brought A vast change in agriculture field for surplus production.


[ Ms Swaminathan is known as father of Green Revolution ]


green revolution first implemented in a state of Punjab and Haryana production at large scale.


▶ in Green Revolution there is use of variety of high yelding variety ( HYV ) seeds.


▶ after the independence of India to make India hunger free there is reform in agriculture sector,
so green revolution was started in India.



following are positive effect of Green Revolution :-

1) green revolution led to huge production.

2) Green Revolution reduce the chance of Hunger and a scarcity of food.


3) green revolution provide sufficient food to people who are suffering from hunger .



4 ) green revolution play an important role to provide nutritious food to people.



▶ following are negative effect of Green Revolution :-


1) Due to the use of high yielding variety seeds as well as many type of chemical especially in the state of Haryana and Punjab there is a loss of soil fertility.


2 ) due to Green Revolution there is surplus production and there is no a storage for our store surplus production so that surplus production is going to waste. ( as we can see in government storage) .




3 ) green revolution related to make soil infertile due to use of many type of chemical as well as seeds.
