Earth absorbs most of the sun's rays and also most of the are emitted back causing no such harm to Earth's temperature. However the speed at which the earth is warming up is not entirely natural but the rising levels of greenhouse gases are to be blamed human activities have sent levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere soaring . Greenhouse gases include carbon dioxide from burning of fossil fuels, deforestation and burning of wood , methane from decomposition, deforestation, CFC's used in aerosols, refrigeration and nitrogen oxides from use of chemical fertilizers, burning of fuels and vegetation. These gases trap the sun's infrared radiations at a higher rate this slows the rate at which the energy is emitted causing a gradual increase in the earth's temperature
