GW-BASIC stands for "Gee-Whiz Beginner's All Purpose Symbolic Instruction Code". One more full form is "Gates-Whitten Beginners All Purpose Symbolic Instruction Code". Commonly we use to say second one. Bill Gates took and improved  this programme and gave the name "Gates-Whitten BASIC". The name combination of these two developers. The Microsoft employee is developed this programme name is "Greg Whitten". so it is called "GW-BASIC".
