what is gypsum?what happened if it is heated up to 100°C.

gypsum is used to manufacture Cement. it is hard when it is heated upto 100 c it start melting and becone into apowered.

gypsum:-soft sulfate mineral composed of calcium sulfate dihydrate, with the chemical formula CaSo₄. 2H₂O.
is used in manufacturing cement.
when water is added to cement
gypsum will help for Harding.
when gypsum is heated upto 100°c it turns into plaster of Paris
