microorganisms are greatly affected by where they live. Microbial habitats — including soils, rivers, lakes, oceans, on the surface of living and dead things, inside other organisms, on man-made structures, and everything in between — provide nutrients and protect cells from harsh conditions.

Hi AditiBeautifull,
Here's your answer...

Microorganisms are found all around us in all types of places like air, water, soil, plants and inside our bodies and bodies of all other animals. They can survive in extremely harsh environmental conditions like hot spring, desert soil, saline water, Ice Cool Water and marsh lands they are also found at the bottom of the sea.
Microorganism are also present in dead and decaying organic matter. These organisms help in the release of minerals to the soil after the death of living organisms by decomposing them.
Some microorganism like as parasites either outside of inside the body of other organisms. The nose, throat , mouth and intestine of man animals and even human beings are inhabited by a number of microorganisms. Some microorganisms however cause disease. For example Malaria is caused by protozoan, plasmodium, which leaves as a parasite in the blood of human beings...

Hope it helps...
