In the process of dialysis, the blood from an artery in the patient's arm is taken and is made to flow into the dialyser of a dialysis machine. The purified blood is then pumped back into a vein of the patient's arm. This process is called hemodialysis.

Answer:-

Haemodialysis is process of removal of nitrogenous products from the blood. Haemodialysis is used as artificial kidneys system. When the kidneys cannot function due to injury, infections or restricted flow of blood to the kidneys. This defect thus resulting in accumulation of harmful toxic substances in the blood that could even lead to death. This blood is then needed to be filtered by the artifical kidneys in case of of kidney failure.

Explanation:-

Process of haemodialysis :-

1. The dialyser or artifical kidneys contains a number of tube like structures with a semi permeable lining that is suspended in the tank containing dialysing fluid.

2. Blood containing the toxins and wastes gets diffused in the dialysing fluid as a result blood get rids of the wastes.

3. This filtered blood is then passed back into the person.

4. The process of filtration in artifical kidneys is the same as kidneys except that in artificial kidneys no absorption takes place.
